Alchemist Teacher
Dialogue
Hey there, mate!
What's happening, partner?
Hello there, buddy!
Welcome to the lab, my friend!
I used to live it up in Leithana, but then I got sent out here to Goldenfield for, um... 'practical experience'.
No worries, mate. I'll just... um... improvise, I suppose...
I was having the time of my life at university until I fell asleep during the assignment handout. Next thing I knew, I was stuck in this provincial place.
Well, back to plan B... once I figure out what that is...
I'll give you the recipe, you do all the crafting. Then we can pretend you're one of my successful newcomer students. What do you say, mate?
And because yesterday’s party with the locals was a bit too joyful, this hangover is killing me.
I've got a plan, though. You'll create something simple, like painkillers. Mostly because that's the only recipe I give out for free.
You see, I'm supposed to be this alchemy master teaching outlanders the ropes. In reality, I can barely tell a mana potion from a beer.
I'm fine for the time being. But I'll call out if I need help.
I'm alright for now. But thanks for the offer, mate.
No need right now, amigo. But I'll keep you in mind.
I'm in a bit of a sticky situation here. Can you help out?
I'm in desperate need of help, mate!
You bet I do, buddy. I could use a hand.
Just watch out for the local brew. It’s stronger than it looks!
It's a nice place for newcomers to start their journey, though. The locals are surprisingly friendly for a bunch of country folk.
Goldenfield is... it's alright, I suppose. It's quiet, perhaps too quiet for my taste. It lacks the nightlife of Leithana.
The best part? You can have several alchemy effects at the same time, like a cocktail of... awesomeness.
Voilà, you’ve got yourself an improved version with a longer and stronger effect.
To pump up the volume and get stronger effects, you need to add more resources to the standard consumable.
To kick-start this party, I mean... to craft these consumables, you will need both regular and recycled resources from Butchery, Mining, Logging, and Herbalism.
Just remember, every consumable is like a good party. It's got a limited duration, but it'll make your journey through the wild lands of Kwalat a whole lot more bearable.
These gems don't come in different qualities. But, if you get lucky, you can get two, even three consumables at once.
You get to whip up some groovy consumables like medicines, vaccines, and ointments. You can even roll up some joints.
Though, on the plus side, I did manage to snag some notes on alchemy from university. For your information, it's all simple if you look closely. Quite cool too.
But, hey... the show must go on, right? I've got to teach alchemy, even if I barely remember anything from my classes.
I'm struggling a bit, honestly. The rural life is not for me. The lack of sleep doesn't help either.
Man, I'm feeling... ugh, not so great, you know?. Parties with the locals can be a bit... intense.
And guess what, mate? With each new mastery level, the number of alchemy effects you can stack will shoot up!
I'm Percival Beamish, but you can just call me Percy.
Well, that's a fail. But don't worry about me, I'll... sort something out.
Believe me, mate, if you master Alchemy, you'll feel as comfy as a sloth in a tree. Even when exploring the most difficult and savage locations of the wild lands.
