Fort

Nestled not far from Goldenfield and the ever-bustling railway, the fort stands as a relic of a tumultuous past, its sharpened logs encircling it like a grim reminder of the many battles fought within its walls. Having changed hands numerous times, the fort’s current owners are suspected of engaging in shady dealings tied to the railway, possibly smuggling or other illicit activities that keep the authorities wary. The fort is also home to Tharkon, the Elanien ambassador, who was tasked with helping Elaniens settle and progress on the Swamp's edge. Though he carries out his duties with honour, he remains discontent living near the Quaddari, having been robbed on his only visit to their land, a betrayal that has left him distrustful of anyone from that faction. He often asks passersby if they hail from Quaddari, urging them to leave if so, driven by his lingering prejudice and a belief that everyone from there is involved in criminal activity.
