Desperate Depths

Refusal comes with its own set of dangers, you know.

In the meantime, I will look into your artifact problem. Sound good?

Suit yourself. It’s not just your conscience that’ll haunt you.

You see, I fear the Razorleaf Swarms around here may have eaten my dear wife as she wandered from the mine.

I need you to go kill a bunch of them so that I can rip their stomachs open. I need to search them for... evidence.

We may be the perfect people to solve each other's problems. You, a foolish simpleton. Me, a genius treasure hunter.

But hey, now that you’ve proved my innocence, maybe you can help me with one more thing...

I am so consumed by grief, I couldn't even find your artifact.

At least we - I mean, you - killed the rest of the witnesses - I mean, culprits!

Think carefully, because some decisions are irreversible.

You've been busy. I already inspected the Razorleaf Swarms you killed.

It appears her ring was in one's stomach! We both saw it fall out - I definitely didn’t just put it there.

Oh, I fear the worst. It’s so clear that these creatures have murdered my poor, poor wife.

Ah, a wise choice, my naive friend. May your blade be as sharp as my wit.
