Windstone Long Grey Hair
Dialogue
Greetings! My eyesight isn't what it used to be. Do I know you?
Who is there? Eric, you lazy reptile, is that you?
I know your loud angry footsteps, Eddie. How are the crops doing?
You do not sound like either of my sons. Who are you?
Hello! Who are you? I'm blind as a bat. Announce yourself, damn it!
My name is Gregory. "Gregory THE Farmer" they call me. Heh. That's because I'm the most successful farmer in the territory. They all look up to me. It's an honour.
The reason I'm so successful is because I collect artifacts and know how to use them. If it helps the farm, I keep it.
If it's dangerous, I give it to a Censor or put it back in the ground.
I'm not greedy, either. I share my good fortune with my neighbours. That's why we're so prosperous here. We look after each other.
Have you met my sons yet? They're my pride and my sorrow. I love 'em both, but they're both pains in my backside.
I have to straighten them out before I die, or there will be trouble.
I'm an old blind Brownie farmer.
My back lets me know when it's going to rain, and I haven't pleased the Missus in 4 years. I'm old.
Well, it's been a good life. I've got no complaints.
Eric, my son, will inherit this farm when I go. He'll have to work with Eddie, my other son, or the place will go to blazes.
I'd like to leave a successful enterprise when I leave, but that's out of my hands now.
This is the family farm.
It's the biggest and most successful in the Territory.
My son Eric is my legal heir. Wish he wasn't a layabout, but there's nothing I can do.
If you need anything, go to Eddie, my adopted son. He's a surly cuss, but he knows the business.
Thank you kindly. I've been helpless since my eyesight went.
I hate asking a stranger, but you have an honest voice.
I could use a hand, thank you.
Yes, I could. Come close. Let's talk privately.
No thanks. My sons do everything I need. Eventually.
Not now. It's time for my nap.
I can't think of anything at the moment, but thanks.
Sure! No wait, never mind.
