Retired Military
Dialogue
What's up?
Hey there.
Howdy. Ever rumble with some Deadites?
Need something?
Not so fond of that Zugg. He's a bit of an ass. Probably got a few skeletons in his closet... literally.
Slap bang in the middle, you'll find Zugg's Bureau and the Ivie Clarkson Cafe.
You're standing in Goldenfield, a straight-shootin' town with honest folks. We're all about farming here, it's our life and blood.
Sometimes I miss the military life, but this place has grown on me.
Name's Hank, but most folks around here call me 'Boomstick'.
Doing fine, thanks for asking. Keeping busy with patrols.
Once served in the military, now I use my skills to keep this town and these fields safe.
I'm all set, thanks.
I can handle things here.
Don't need any help at the moment.
I'm good, do your thing.
Help? Groovy. Let's lock and load, partner.
Need help? Well, what are ya? Some kinda primitive screwhead? Of course, I need help.
Back in my day, we didn't wait for trouble to find us. We went lookin' for it in our spare time!
Windreach Woods or Tempest Timberland might as well be the local diner for those Dreads, and they're not exactly the friendly neighbors.
I'm sittin' here with a tractor, not a chariot, and these old bones aren't what they used to be.
Someone's gotta head out there and show those critters that Goldenfield isn't their cafeteria.
I've got enough gear here to make Rambo blush. So why don't you grab some and give those Dreads a little surprise party they'll never forget?
Alright, hero, but when those Dreads come knocking, don't say ol' Hank didn't warn ya.
No pressure, but if they overrun us, I'll be on the rooftop screaming 'I told ya so!'
Could be my PTSD talkin', but I reckon those Dreads have our scent. They'll come, alright.
Alright then, guess it's just me and my trusty broomstick against the apocalypse today. Good times.
I also deal in weapons, collected a fair bit over the years.
If you're looking for something to keep the dead away, I'm your guy!
Just another day of slaying and maintaining my boomstick. What's not to like?
