This beggar arrived in Kwalat and disobeyed the law, getting him ostracized. When he didn't go west to war, he had no options. In a bet with his fellow beggar, Titus, he transfigured himself into a dog in order to beg for scraps - and to prove to a fellow beggar that dogs in Riverrise are treated better than the poor. Unfortunately, he does not realize that the butcher he's begging for scraps is considering making the beggar-turned-dog into his next meal.
