Footprint Lake

Nestled on the fractured southern rim of Kwalat, Footprint Lake is believed to be one of the few remaining divine impressions, a mark left behind when the Ancients walked the living world. The shape of the lake, unmistakably resembling a vast, humanoid footprint, fuels the legend that one of the godlike beings, most say Looren, the "Architect of the Breath", set foot here during the Shattering. According to the Book of the Ancients, Looren was among the last to ascend when the boundaries between matter and divinity collapsed. Kwalat’s storytellers believe this was her final step, the place where she looked back upon the world one last time before vanishing into the skyfire. The impact of her departure boiled the river valleys and carved the basin that became the lake.
