Riverrise Spillway

The Riverrise Spillway acts as a natural boundary between the once-pristine waters of Riverrise and the murky, polluted swamps that stretch beyond. A steady flow of chemicals seeps through the cracks in the spillway, tainting the river with a sinister, unnatural hue that locals have learned to avoid. Floating aimlessly in the polluted waters is a decrepit raft, still used by a handful of brave or reckless souls to collect the refuse that drifts downriver. The raft’s crew, a ragtag group of scavengers, know the risks of working in such a toxic environment, but they are drawn to the spillway’s grim bounty, making a living by collecting the waste that fouls the once-pure waters of Riverrise.
